  1. I'm admittedly not a huge reader of horror comics. I've read some comics with some terrifying images in them, but very little that falls directly into the horror genre.

My personal plug would have to be Sparrow & Crowe: The Demoniac of Los Angeles. Based off the incredibly creepy and engaging audio drama, Wormwood, Sparrow & Crowe takes place before the events of Wormwood and follows Dr. Xander Crowe, a psychologist turned occult detective and his assistant Sparrow. The end of the first issue and the entirety of issue #2 is incredibly creepy. I can't wait for their Halloween anthology issue to come out later on this month.

I would be remiss not to give some serious credit to Swamp Thing and Animal Man of the DC New 52. These two comics have not only been amazing but have had the most incredible art, especially when it comes to the creepy and grotesque.

And, lastly, I would be a a pretty crappy FBC contributor if I didn't mention Something Animal and Identity Thief, the two horror comics produced by Fanboy Comics. Both of these volumes have incredible, stylized art and are old school horror tales. Identity Thief especially has led to me checking out my closet on occasion.

Can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with!
